19. An "Ignorant" Mother

Over the next few days Issy and Nigel were getting used
to parenting, however Issy didn't seem to ever wake up to the
 crying pleas of her son

Kaylee on the other hand would always here him and
get up to tend to him at all hours of the night

but during the day Kaylee would head off to work and Isabella
would need to take care of Carl herself.

Issy however had other things on her mind than changing
diapers and bottle feeding.
"Nigel we should head out today, get back out on the town
 like we used to. It will be fun to get out for a
while, please" Issy said

"I don't know Issy, we have responsibilities now, a son who
we can't just leave here on his own" Nigel replied

As if to prove a point Carl chose that moment to
 start crying for attention

Grandpa Sean was in there within seconds

"I know but dad can look after Carl for a few hours, i mean it's
not like we will be out all day and night. just a few hours
 to unwind. we will be back before the two of you have
 to go to work" Isabella presented her case

"Ok, just a few hours won't hurt i guess" Nigel said

"Great i will go see if dad's good to watch the baby" Issy said
before getting up and heading into the nursery

"Hey Daddy" Issy said in her sweetest tone "would you be
 willing to watch Carl for a few hours whilst me and Nigel go
out for a bit, we will be back before you have to go to work." 

"I'm happy to watch him for a few hours, but it is important that
 you spend time with him as well, he is your son" Sean said

"I know that daddy but i have barely left this house since
we moved in, i need a change on scenery" Issy  pleaded

"Ok then, have your change on scenery just make sure you
 are back by 3, or i will be late to work" Sean said

So with Sean watching Carl, Issy and Nigel headed down
 to the local "Watering hole"

Issy and Nigel took turns on the bull but Isabella probably spent
 more time on it. she was having a little to much fun

They got home with just seconds to spare before Sean and
Nigel had to go to work

Luckily for Isabella Carl was fast asleep

So issy just sat on her butt and watched TV until Kaylee got home

after seeing that Carl was asleep Kaylee spent some time
with Zeke, the fact that he had grown up so quickly made him a bit
 older than people like to train pets, so it was requiring extra
 work to teach him not to pee in the house.

After a while Carl woke up and started crying for a feed

Issy, as usual, was avoiding going in there and was waiting for
Kaylee to tend to him. Kaylee however was sick and tired of
taking care of Isabella's child when Isabella just sat around and
 did nothing to help. she loved her grandson but enough is enough.

"Isabella Radford, you need to go in there and tend to
YOUR son, it isn't my responsibility i am not some hired
nanny to be called upon whenever you can't be bothered to
take care of you own son." Kaylee said getting
 angry at her daughter.

"Gosh, chill mum if you want me to go and
 tend to Carl just say so." Isabella said

"That's what you don't understand. i shouldn't have to
tell you to take care of your own son." Kaylee said

"I had to take care of you and your sister on my own whenever
 your father was working, i couldn't just sit on the couch
and hope someone else would take care of you. Isabella you
 need to figure out that Carl needs his mother sometimes
 and you can't just ignore him" Kaylee said

"Ok i understand mum, i'm just not as good at dealing with him
as you are. but there is no time like the present to learn."
Isabella said before walking into Carls room

"I have no idea why some parents delight in having children
cry for them, its just plain annoying" thought Issy

"there we go, drink up and stop crying" Isabella said

to help Carl get to sleep Issy spent almost an hour on the
rocking chair rocking him to sleep

Before finally putting him to bed, i guess she can take care
 of Carl just as well as Kaylee

The next morning the whole family gathered to celebrate
Carl's birthday

Grandpa Sean carried him into toddlerhood

*SPARKLES*

Carl looks a lot like his father with the same hair and face
shape however he inherited Isabella's light green eyes
and skin tone

Zeke was intrigued with this strange little boy on the
floor and had to go and investigate.

Carl, got along well enough with Zeke however eventually
 he needed a diaper change and started to cry.
Zeke though he wanted to play.

Dad was the first one to tend to little Carl

All clean again

I never get tired of seeing the two of them together, so cute

Nigel decided to spend some quality time with his son before work,
Zeke decided to come over and watch.

However as time past, little Carl got tired

Before Nigel got a chance Issy went over to Carl to
 put him down for a nap. I think she likes him a little better now
 that he did more than just eat, sleep, cry and poop.

Deep down Issy does love her son.

When Kaylee came home Issy was cleaning up

"Hey Issy, where is Carl?" Kaylee asked

"He's in his room, sleeping. How was work?" Issy asked

Before she could answer Zeke came in with the
paper. it was so cute

Kaylee praised Zeke for a job well done and gave him a
treat as a reward

Issy however decided to look over recent events in the newspaper

Kaylee came over and joined her
"I'm pretty tired after today, the kids at school were a little hyper.
 Will you be ok with Carl whilst i take a nap?" She asked

"I'll be fine, He's sleeping anyway. enjoy your nap." Issy said

With that Kaylee went to bed for a few Zzz's

With Kaylee and Carl sleeping and the boys still at work Issy
 decided to make some dinner

However not long after she had started, Carl started crying

She brought him in and fed him whilst she continued with the meal

Soon after Sean came home

And Kaylee got up from her nap

Carl was getting sick of sitting the highchair and cried to get out
once he saw his grandparents

Issy was busy cooking dinner so Kaylee played with him for a
 bit to keep him happy

Nigel was coming home late so the rest of the family sat down
and enjoyed Issy's meal

Nigel grabbed a plate for himself when he got home

Little Carl was still playing peacefully on the floor after
 everyone had finished eating

So Sean took him to bed and kissed him goodnight

Before turning in with the rest of the family

Hey guys i hope you enjoyed the post, i hope to get another post out before Christmas but if i don't Merry Christmas to you all, i am planning a very special Christmas post after so look out for that. i am hoping to get Seasons for Christmas as well so that will change the game around a little. in the meantime feel free to post any and all idea's, suggestions and even criticism (as long as it is constructive).
