33. Return Trip

The next morning Issy & Nigel went down to the town
center for some sight seeing

Carl met Laila back at the nectary.
"So what wonderfully exciting place are we
 visiting today?" Carl inquired

"Well, there is a little place outside that
looks a lot like stonehenge" She said

So the two headed down to the old forgotten burial mound

They looked at the many graves littered around
 the site from many years ago

Carl found a small hole in the ground and went to investigate

When he pulled his hand out he was greeted with many
bugs which he shook off.

to his surprise once the bugs had cleared a small pile
 of ancient coins was in his hands

"Laila, here" he said giving them to her as a present

"Thanks Carl" she said

after exploring some more Carl came across a set of stairs
 leading into unknown graves below
"I'm not sure about this Carl, what if something happens" Laila said

"I'm not going to let anything happen to you, I promise" Carl said

With that they headed down the stairs, Carl in the lead
and were confronted with a combination of menacing statues

"The statues are on pressure plates, you move the statue
and the plate turns off" Laila explained
Carl looked skeptical

"Trust me, i studied these things in school.
just move the statue" she said

So Carl did as he was told

and soon enough the plate turned off, resulting in a lightning trap

in the middle Carl grabbed the heart keystone

he took it over to the slot and the door unlocked for him

He went through with Laila following cautiously behind

inside was a table and chairs and since Laila had brought
some nectar with her they decided to enjoy a glass.

"So now what?" Laila said eager to leave

"Well there is another water well, so time for a
swim i guess" Carl said

"One of these days, your going to get yourself in
big trouble" Laila warned teasingly

With that Carl ran and sort of tripped into the well

Laila ran over

"CARL!!" she yelled 

Carl had surfaced at another entry way

However a large stone blockage was in the way for him
 to get back to a distraught Laila

As soon as the debris was clear Laila ran and embraced Carl

"Don't do that to me, don't ever do that again.
 your all i have" Laila said in desperation

"What do you mean, all i have" Carl said

"well, umm....
i guess you would find out sooner or later, as you know my mum
died awhile ago so it was just me and dad. well, a month ago dad...
dad passed away" She said quietly

"Oh... I'm so sorry Laila" Carl said shocked

"Thanks" she said quitely

"Come on lets get out of here" Carls said

By the time they got back outside the sun had already set

"Thanks for inviting me back here with you tonight, i
 don't really want to be alone" Laila said

"That's alright, my pleasure" Carl said

with that the two headed to bed, Carl insisted to
sleep of the floor but Laila wouldn't let him

"thanks again Carl, i guess i will see you next
 time you come to France" Laila said

"Well, i was wondering about that and well..." Carl started

"What is it?" She asked

"What if you came back with me, to starlight shores.
 i don't want to lose you Laila and like you said there is
nothing for you here anymore. what do you say?" Carl said

"That would be Amazing" Laila exclaimed out of joy.

With that Carl headed downstairs to speak to
 his parents about inviting Laila home.

"So, what do you think" Carl said once he had finished explaining 

"We think it is fine, plus your the heir now. it is your choice
 for what the family does now" Nigel said

With that Laila and Carl went for a quick last minute
 stroll down to the shops, Laila had to do all the talking

"Laila, i want to do something before we leave." Carl said quietly

He mustered up his courage and gave Laila a small kiss

I don't think she seemed to mind

With that they all boarded a plane, Time to go home

Hey guys, i hope you like the post. so now Laila is coming back to Starlight shores with Carl and i will probably move them to Monte Vista in the next post. I wasn't going to put up pics of the house because i did that a while ago but if you want me to i will put them up again or i will just put a link to that post. just let me know what you think in the comments.
